Vivaldi 6.9 available for Windows on ARM
Vivaldi 6.9 is now not only available for Windows 11 on ARM, but also brings special optimizations for the platform. They are intended to result in optimized performance, faster loading times, smoother scrolling and improved responsiveness. The full range of functions is also available in the Arm version, including tab management, a customizable interface, tracker and ad blockers. Bookmarks, passwords, history and settings can be synchronized across all devices, and this also applies to Vivaldi on Arm systems.
Tabs and tab stacks
Vivaldi 6.9 comes with a number of changes that are available for all platforms of the browser. A new function for renaming tabs is intended to help organize tabs better, and the same function is also available for tab stacks.
Downloads panel
The Downloads panel, in which recently downloaded files can be found, has also been updated. This panel now supports drag and drop, so that the contents of the panel can be dragged to other areas of the system. In this way, files can be dragged from the Downloads panel to the desktop, to a special folder, to an open application or as an attachment to an email, for example. Multiple files can also be selected and moved as a group.
Vivaldi Mail
Vivaldi 6.9 fixes bugs in the browser. Everything from tab behaviour to the responsiveness of the user interface has been improved. All changes are listed in the changelog.
Aside from the browser itself, Vivaldi has made more than 40 fixes for mail and calendar for the integrated mail client Vivaldi Mail, which are intended to improve stability and performance.
