Vivaldi 6.5 available for Windows and iOS

The update offers a new session panel, full history synchronization and improved notes.

Vivaldi is offering new functions for its browser this Christmas, such as the session panel, full history synchronization and improved notes. Version 6.5 is now available for desktop and iOS.

In the latest version, the company is introducing new fields in the sidebar for Vivaldi for managing saved sessions. This creates entire collections of organized tabs. With this session panel you can view, reopen and even edit your sessions, which promises more order for users.

The new sync functionality makes complete browsing history available on all your devices. All data in Vivaldi Sync is fully end-to-end encrypted (E2EE). From this update, you can also find and open your synchronized tabs via the address field or the Windows bar on your current device.

Additionally, you no longer have to manually move and organize tabs into the desired workspace. The new workspace rules automatically move tabs to a predefined workspace based on your easy-to-configure rules. Additionally, there's a new built-in notes option that lets you add more text to an existing note.

For iOS, Vivaldi now has address and tab bars at the bottom or top, custom home page backgrounds and also encrypted synchronization of all browser history. This way you can give your browser homepage an individual touch with your own photos as background images. Or you can choose from background pics that are already installed.

With the 6.5 update, the browser also gets the signature feature, where the color of the user interface matches the colors of the website being visited.

Vivaldi 6.5 is now available for download. Further information and short videos can be found in the respective blog post for the desktop version and the blog post for the iOS version.
