TeamViewer 15.54.5 available
The remote maintenance software update improves overview and administration.
The remote maintenance software TeamViewer for screen sharing, video conferences, file transfers and VPN connections has been updated to version 15.54.5.
A variety of new features and optimizations
According to the developers' release notes for Windows, users in TeamViewer 15.54.5 can select one or more devices and remove managers using a button in the command bar. Another new feature is that it is now possible to access device information via a shortcut in the device dock and close the device dock within the dock. In addition, it will now be possible to set the permissions for device managers when creating the rollout configuration.
In addition, the overview of session participants has been improved in the latest version of TeamViewer. Participants now see a list of all active participants, the user names/placeholders for each user, whose camera is currently displayed and whether the participants are experts or spectators.
Among the revisions in TeamViewer 15.54.5 for Windows are that sessions started by free user accounts require identity verification by the end user before the session begins. This is intended to ensure increased transparency when connecting user accounts with free licenses. In addition, the display of a remote access device tile has been improved. It is now possible to click on this tile to add a device. Furthermore, the search function in the device dock can now display the group name in the search results. It is also now possible to define a device group policy during its creation.
