Element 1.11.68 released

The multiplatform messenger is now available with an updated version.

The multi-protocol messenger Element (formerly Riot) brings few changes and modifications in version 1.11.68. For example, chat messages and chat rooms are easier to access. But the accessibility of the right-hand control panel has also been optimized.

Better usability and more convenience functions

First and foremost, the update of Element 1.11.68 offers new features that improve the accessibility of the Composer and the Rich Text Editor. Another accessibility feature is that it is possible to reduce the user settings tabs to icons on narrow screens. Element 1.11.68 adds a more visible room theme, which will now be displayed with the room information in the right-hand area. The usability of call and voice messages has also been improved. It is now also possible to allow the explicit configuration of the dynamic OIDC registration metadata.

Element 1.11.68 also some bug fixes. Among other things, an issue that corrects the OIDC authorization call has been resolved. Beta notifications for push rules for intentional mentions have also been changed.

In addition to the desktop clients for Linux, macOS and Windows, Element is also available as a mobile offshoot for the common operating systems Android and iOS. The open source software can also be used directly as a web application in any browser.
