Enhanced CPU Thread Utilization: 7-Zip for Windows now supports the use of more than 64 CPU threads when compressing to ZIP, 7Z, and XZ formats, as well as during benchmark operations. On systems with multiple processor groups (i.e., systems with over 64 CPU threads), 7-Zip now intelligently distributes threads across those groups for improved performance.

Improved Compression Speeds:
bzip2: Compression speed has been boosted by 15–40%.
deflate (ZIP/GZ): Compression speed has seen a 1–3% increase.
*Archive Format Enhancements: Support for ZIP, CPIO, and FAT archive formats has been improved.
