UniGetUI 2026.3.2 Adds a Software Catalog and Draggable Sidebar
Your package-manager hub now doubles as a one-click app shelf and stops Pip from breaking things.
What if your whole IT shelf of approved apps sat in one page, ready for a single click? UniGetUI 2026.3.2, the friendly front end for WinGet, Scoop, Chocolatey and friends, introduces an experimental way to do just that.
An experimental Software Catalog
Switch on the new Software Catalog under Settings > Experimental and you get a page of approved software that people can install, update or uninstall with one click. Administrators build the lists with the Catalog Editor, where they can manage several catalogs, pin particular package versions and add packages directly from Discover. It is aimed at small teams and tinkerers who want a curated app store without the enterprise baggage.
Your sidebar, your order
A smaller but delightful change: the sidebar pages can be rearranged by drag and drop, or with Alt+Up and Alt+Down, and the keyboard shortcuts follow your new order. Changed your mind? Reset it in Settings > User interface. Mac users, meanwhile, get the new Liquid Glass look.
Smoother daily use
The package list now keeps its scroll position when an operation completes instead of throwing you back to the top. Package details and the "Download installer" button now choose the same WinGet installer as real installs, honouring your scope and architecture settings. Screen readers announce proper names for expanders and list cells.
Bug hunting
Pip updates that could corrupt a Python environment now run one at a time. PowerShell 7 modules installed for all users can be uninstalled again, and Chocolatey packages such as Python that need admin rights are retried as administrator. Several crashes are cured, including one at startup and one in the terminal UI, and a stray restart prompt in Experimental settings is gone.
Our verdict
Pip users should grab this one without delay, since the corrupted-environment bug is the nastiest of the bunch. The catalog is clearly a work in progress, so treat it as a preview to play with. Everyone else gets a tidier, steadier update hub for free.
