Users of the open source email client Thunderbird can download and install the new update to version 78.3.3. You get the version for Mac, Linux and Windows. The update is available via the internal update function and as a separate download.
After installing the update, Thunderbird no longer automatically installs updates when the Settings tab is opened. A few issues have been fixed. For example, an event name is now required in any case if you want to create a new entry in the calendar.
In addition, the OpenPGP key manager was missing in the tools of the macOS version, it is now available again.
In addition, the support for encrypting via subkeys has been improved and the message status symbols should now be displayed correctly again.
