O&O ShutUp10++ 2.2.1024 update available

New: Control over AI in Edge, restriction of Copilot access and more.

Windows 10 and Windows 11: Convenience has a Data Trade-Off – and O&O ShutUp++ is a Practical Privacy Solution

Windows 10 and Windows 11 are designed to make everyday computing as simple and comfortable as possible. The operating systems offer intelligent assistance, seamless connectivity, personalized recommendations, and automated features intended to streamline the user experience.

This added convenience is accompanied by extensive data collection and sharing. Certain services may record user input, synchronize wireless access credentials, or automatically connect devices to public networks. While such features reduce friction and simplify daily tasks, they can also introduce privacy and security concerns.

Although Microsoft provides configuration options to limit or disable many of these data-sharing functions, the relevant settings are distributed across various sections of the system. As a result, identifying and adjusting all privacy-related options manually can be time-consuming and complex.

Protect Your Privacy in Windows 10 and Windows 11 with the free O&O ShutUp10++

O&O ShutUp10++, a free utility developed by O&O Software, offers users a centralized and straightforward way to disable unwanted features in Windows 10 and Windows 11. With a clear interface and one-click controls, the tool enables users to restrict the transfer of sensitive personal data to Microsoft and other services.

The software provides practical recommendations to help users determine which functions can be safely deactivated. Importantly, all changes can be reversed at any time. If a previously disabled feature - such as a digital assistant or system integration component—is required again, it can be restored with a single click.
