What's New
Broader custom OAuth support. Thunderbird now lets add-ons override built-in OAuth settings for selected domains and hostnames, giving IT admins and power users more flexibility when connecting to non-standard mail providers. Custom OAuth support now extends to IMAP and SMTP servers directly, not just the big-name providers.
Smoother Exchange and Graph setup. Manual account configuration has been streamlined for Exchange, Microsoft Graph, and custom OAuth setups — a common pain point for users migrating work accounts into Thunderbird.
Admin controls. A new enterprise policy, DisableQRExport, lets administrators turn off QR code export for accounts, and a new preference (mail.addr_book.add_item_default_uri) makes it possible to configure which address book manually added contacts land in by default.
Under the hood. This release continues Thunderbird's push toward better interoperability with modern authentication standards, following the same broader security and reliability focus seen in recent Firefox releases.
