Bitwarden, the popular open-source password manager, has released version 2026.6.0 with a handful of practical improvements across platforms. The headline addition for most users is the device list view, which was previously only available on desktop and is now accessible on Android as well.
What's New in Bitwarden 2026.6
Android device list: Users can now view and manage all trusted devices directly from the Android app, bringing it to parity with the desktop experience.
Native ARM64 for macOS Directory Connector: The Directory Connector for macOS is now distributed as a native ARM64 binary, replacing the previous Rosetta-translated version. Users who rely on both the app and the CLI version (bwdc) will need to update both to keep them working, as this change also affects what gets bundled alongside the CLI executable. Bitwarden notes: "Keytar has been replaced with OS-specific native modules. Therefore, a different file is now bundled with the bwdc CLI executable. The setup process remains unchanged despite the new filename."
Web vault refinements (2026.6.1): The web vault received a follow-up point release fixing a caching issue in the test dialog.
Server-side cleanup: Several internal feature flags have been retired in the server update, covering consolidated session timeouts, Type-0 decryption, the "My Vault to My Items" migration, the Send UI refresh, and SDK-based unlocking.
The desktop client and browser extensions remain on version 2026.5.x for this cycle and have not yet received the 2026.6 update.
