The OBS Project has shipped OBS Studio 32.2.2, a maintenance update to the free, open-source streaming and recording software that fixes several issues introduced in the 32.2 release line including a Windows-specific bug that could stop plugins from loading after an update.
What's New in 32.2.2
- Fixed plugins not loading on first start after updating OBS on Windows. Some users found that after installing an update, third-party plugins wouldn't load until OBS was restarted a second time. That's now resolved.
- Fixed game capture failing after an OBS update if the previous capture hook was still in use by the game process.
- Blocked OBS Studio from launching on macOS 12, since a Qt update in the 32.2.x line causes the app to fail to start on that OS version (macOS users only).
This patch builds on the broader 32.2 release from July 21, 2026, which brought a redesigned "Add Source" dialog, copy/paste support in the frontend API, an SDR-to-HDR compositing filter, and an NVIDIA SDK update to version 13, meaning NVENC users need GeForce driver 570 or newer to avoid encoding issues.
