Intel driver update 30.0.101.1191 available

The update solves performance problems with Windows 10/11.

Intel has released new drivers for Windows 10 and Windows 11 with version 30.0.101.1191. The new drivers are intended to eliminate performance problems that arose in Windows 10 and Windows 11 in connection with the desktop Windows Manager. Windows 10 and Windows 11 users can download a driver update for Intel CPUs. CPUs of different generations and certain games benefit from this.

Because users of the two Windows operating system generations had reported that the Desktop Windows Manager (DMW.exe) could lead to a high system load. The DMW.exe therefore required more CPU time and occupied more RAM than was actually required. As a result, the affected Windows computers were noticeably slowed down. This problem should be resolved with the new Intel drivers 30.0.101.1191 for Intel processors from the 6th up to and including the 10th generation of processors.

In addition, new drivers also solve other problems, as can be seen from the change log. For example xrashes in Battlefield 2042 (DX12) and FIFA 21 (DX12) in connection with processors of the 11th generation of Intel Core processors with Intel Iris Xe graphics should be a thing of the past.

You can download the new Intel drivers for Windows 10 and Windows 11 as an executable EXE file from Intel here. The corresponding release notes can also be found on this website.
