Google has released a new update for its Chrome browser. The update fixes numerous security vulnerabilities. Version 98.0.4758.102 will be rolled out for Windows, macOS and Linux in the upcoming days and weeks, as Google writes in the Chrome Releases blog.
The patch fixes eleven security vulnerabilities. Some of these were classified as high. According to Google, there is already an exploit for the CVE-2022-0609 vulnerability.
Users should therefore install the update as soon as it is available. This usually should happen automatically. To check which version you are currently using, you can click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser, then on Help and About Google Chrome. Here you can see the version number. An update will also start, if available. After that, the browser needs to be restarted.
