Updated CCleaner 5.56 surprisingly adds more cleaning

The cleaning of data leftovers from the Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers were enhanced.

CCleaner is a freeware system optimization, privacy and cleaning tool. CCleaner reliably frees your hard drive with just a few clicks of unnecessary ballast, which slows down the system. In addition, CCleaner also deletes unnecessary entries in the registry and deletes surf traces.

The CCleaner cleanup tool was released in version 5.56. The new version replaces version 5.55, which was released about a month ago. The cleaning functions for data leftovers left by the Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge browsers were tuned.

The developers also upgraded the now integrated software updater. The updaters stability has been improved and now more software products are being recognized.

CCleaner supports Windows XP and Windows Vista as well as the 32- and 64-bit versions of Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 8.1 and Windows 10.
