Important update for the Tor Browser fixes critical security gaps

The Tor Browser promises complete anonymity and access to the Darknet. Now the anonymous browser has been updated to a new version, which users should install.

There are few secure and anonymous ways to get on the Internet and the Tor network is one of them. Data is sent through the network via a random route, which makes the user almost untraceable. With the Tor Browser you basically get a Firefox browser, which is well secured with built-in plug-ins and automatically connects to the Tor network.

In addition to the Tor browser package for Windows, Linux and macOS, there are also apps for Android and iOS that you can use to access the Tor network.

In the new version 9.0.4, the underlying Firefox ESR has been updated to the latest version 68.1.4. This closes a critical security vulnerability that Firefox fixed with an update already. The vulnerability became known a few days ago and has already been actively exploited by attackers. For example, the vulnerability can cause devices to crash or code to be injected into computers. Therefore users should update the Tor browser.
