Google Chrome 138.0.7204.157 / .158 available

The update fixes the closes security vulnerability CVE-2025-6558.

Google has released an important security update for the Chrome browser. Versions 138.0.7204.157 and 138.0.7204.158 fix six vulnerabilities. One of them (CVE-2025-6558) already exists as an exploit in the wild. All six vulnerabilities have been rated high.

Accordingly, the Android version has also received an update to version 138.0.7204.157. As usual, the same security vulnerabilities have been fixed here as in the desktop version. The iOS version (138.0.7204.156) follows. Several stability and performance issues have been resolved here.

Google is aware that an exploit for CVE-2025-6558 exists in the wild. The other Chromium browsers will probably follow and receive an update soon, as the security issues will also exist there.
