New in Firefox 88
PDF support: PDF support has been around for a long time in Firefox, but the format has many specialties to offer. Now there is also support for embedded JavaScript in PDF files, as some PDF forms use JavaScript for validation and other interactive features.
Touchpad Support: Mozilla has improved how it works with touchpads. In the release notes it is mentioned that pinch-to-zoom is now also supported on Linux.
Videos: A bug in the full screen display on Android has been fixed.
Screenshots: Some Firefox functions can be called up quickly using the three dots in the URL line. Mozilla has removed the screenshot functionality. There is a separate button for this that users can insert into the menu.
FTP: Firefox 88 switches off FTP support.
You can read more about the new version 88 in the Release Notes.
If you have already installed Firefox, it is best to use the update function integrated in Firefox. This will automatically provide you with the update Firefox 88 as soon as it is available for your Firefox.
