Firefox 76.0.1 update fixes bugs
Mozilla stops shipping Firefox 76.0. Instead, the error-corrected Firefox 76.0.1 will be offered soon. So you get the new version immediately.
David FischerMozilla.org has stopped delivering Firefox 76.0 and will soon deliver Firefox 76.0.1 instead. The release notes for Firefox 76.0.1 show that after installing Firefox 76, an Amazon browser extension no longer worked. This Amazon Assistant allows you to use additional applications in the browser for your purchases from Amazon.
If you do not use the Amazon Assistant anyway, you probably have no reason to install Firefox 76.0.1 now. You can wait until the new Firefox version is offered via the update function of the browser.
Firefox 76.0 brought many new functions. In terms of security, the improvement of Firefox's password manager is worth mentioning as well as improvements in the picture-in-picture mode and in the use of zoom.
Read more about the new version in the Release Notes.
Firefox 76.0.1 will soon install via the browser's auto-update function. Alternatively you can download the latest version here.
