Bitwarden Desktop 2026.10.3 Fixes LastPass Import Logins

A small desktop update clears up a LastPass import login error and corrects the commercial Chocolatey package.

Switching password managers is one of those chores people put off for years, and the moment you finally try it, the import throws a server error at you. That was the situation for some people moving over from LastPass, and Bitwarden has now patched it.

Bitwarden Desktop 2026.10.3 repairs the direct LastPass import, where signing in to LastPass from inside Bitwarden could fail with a 500 error. The matching browser extension build, 2026.10.2, carries the same fix, so the move works from either place. If you have been copying a CSV export around as a workaround, you can try the direct route again.

A fix for the commercial package

The release also corrects the commercial Chocolatey package, which now points at the commercial installer. That matters mostly to people who roll the app out through the package manager on work machines. Everyone else will not notice it. There is no new feature here, no redesign and no change to how your vault works, so the update installs quickly and keeps your setup as it was.

Our verdict

Update if you are in the middle of leaving LastPass or you manage Bitwarden through Chocolatey. Everyone else can let the app update itself when it gets around to it. It is a tidy maintenance build from a password manager that keeps shipping steadily, and that regularity is a good sign for something that guards your logins.
