It is the second security update for Chrome 106 within a week. The October 5 update to version 106.0.5249.103 did not fix any documented vulnerabilities.
The Chrome Release Blog lists the six fixed vulnerabilities that external researchers discovered and reported to Google. Google classifies all vulnerabilities as high risk. These include four use-after-free vulnerabilities in browser components or Safe Browsing, and a buffer overflow in WebSQL.
Installing the new update is strongly recommended for Chrome users. Chrome updates are available through the built-in update functionality. They are usually downloaded and installed automatically. If you do not want to wait, you can also initiate the update manually under Help » About Google Chrome.
