Intel Extreme Tuning Utility 10.0.1.188 Released: Deeper Arrow Lake Overclocking Controls
This release is exclusive to Arrow Lake CPUs and newer, running on Intel's Core Ultra Series 2 lineup.
Intel has released Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) 10.0.1.188, the latest build of its free overclocking, monitoring, and stress-testing tool for Windows. XTU gives enthusiasts a single dashboard to push clock speeds, voltages, and power limits on unlocked Intel processors, then validate the results with built-in benchmarks and stress tests. This release is exclusive to Arrow Lake CPUs and newer, running on Intel's Core Ultra Series 2 lineup.
What's New in 10.0.1.188
- Replaced the legacy XTU drivers with the new Intel Innovation Platform Framework (Intel IPF)
- Added System Agent (SA) Fabric controls and Dual Reference Clock controls
- Added support for granular per-core ratios and per-point real-time memory timings
- Added maximum voltage support and Core Parking controls
- Active-core and per-core ratio tuning now behave independently, per-core ratios are no longer auto-adjusted based on active-core values, and the effective ratio is whichever is lower
- Removed the "Default" option from Voltage Override controls, so all overrides now reflect their true value even at boot
- OC TVB (Thermal Velocity Boost tuning) is now available per-core on E-Cores
- General security improvements
Known issues to watch for: granular ratios can round upward after a reboot (XTU tries to round them back down on shutdown, but a cold reboot may be needed if that fails), and installing certain IPF providers alongside XTU — SOC Thermal, PMT, or IGCL — has been reported to cause crashes. The IGCL provider is required for Graphics Frequency monitoring, but Graphics Voltage and System Agent Voltage monitoring remain unavailable in this build.
Requirements
Intel XTU 10.0 and newer requires unlocked Intel Core Ultra Processors (Series 2, "Arrow Lake-S") and a chipset that supports full overclocking, such as Z890. Owners of older, 14th-gen and earlier unlocked Core processors should stick with XTU 7.14.2.93 instead, which remains the supported branch for that hardware.
