The developers of PowerToys have added new features to their tool collection for Windows.
David FischerThe developers of PowerToys have added new features to their tool collection for Windows, fixing numerous bugs and making changes to the user interface to improve usability.
Toolbox with new features
Among the new features is the software's ability to detect and resolve keybinding conflicts by assigning functions to new keyboard shortcuts. In the Mouse Utilities, the mouse cursor crosshair has been given the "Gliding Cursor" function, which allows the cursor to be moved and clicked with a single key. Since the WiX 3 installer has reached the end of its lifespan, it has now been updated to WiX 5, which is intended to improve the installer's security and reliability, as well as to ensure community maintenance.
In addition, there have been numerous fixes and improvements to the command palette, including visual adjustments and support for filters on ListPages, which should be particularly useful for extension developers. Furthermore, the context menu registration has been moved from the installer to the runtime to prevent the loading of disabled modules.
All changes and improvements are listed here in the detailed Release Notes.
