Packing program: WinRAR 7.11 update available

This update mostly offers bug fixes.

RARLab just rolled out version 7.11 of the ever-popular file-compression tool, WinRAR! While this update is mostly about tidying up bugs, it also sneaks in a few cool improvements.

One standout change? If you have ever tried archiving multiple files in your disk's root folder using the right-click "Add to Archive…" option, you might’ve noticed WinRAR kept naming them all "archive1.rar". That meant the first archive kept getting overwritten. But now, with version 7.11, WinRAR suggests "archive1_rar.rar" instead. Boom! No more accidental overwrites.

As always, the full list of bug fixes is in the official release notes. Want to try it out? You can grab the latest version from the WinRAR website or swing by the ComputerBase download section via the link at the end of this post. Happy archiving!
