Opera for Android now with integrated free VPN

The Opera browser now lets you surf the internet anonymously with an integrated VPN service.

Opera added a free VPN service to its mobile browser for Android users in version 51. You do not have to sign in or download additional VPN apps. Opera is aiming at giving you more control over your online privacy.

The integrated VPN creates an encrypted connection between your phone and the server using a 256-bit encryption algorithm. The encryption hides your physical location from visited websites. The Opera browser's VPN service protects user date from being stolen and helps to avoid tracking. The VPN server does not store activity data.

There are already more than 650 million people using VPN services globally. With Opera they can now enjoy a free and no-log service that enhances online privacy and improves security,” said Peter Wallman, SVP Opera Browser for Android.

You can enable Opera's VPN by tapping the browser settings, tapping VPN, and enabling the feature as you like. You can also customize the region you are in.
