An important update for Google Chrome is available, which closes the NSA-discovered crypto vulnerability under Windows. Chrome users should get the browser update now in order to close the security gap which has already been exploited.

With Chrome 79, Google had the last major version for 2019 and offered it for download for Windows, Linux, macOS and a bit delayed for Android.

An important patch is now available to Chrome version 79.0.3945.130. The security vulnerability discovered in Windows by the NSA, among others, allows attackers to falsify security certificates for users. Chrome now wants to at least recognize and block them. The Windows patch should not be spared, but Chrome provides a second layer of protection with the security update.

Usually, the auto-update mechanism in Chrome will automatically bring the new version to your system within the next few days. If you can no longer wait, get Chrome 79.0.3945.130 on your devices right away with our download.
