Firefox 89.0.1 update available

This important update fixes security vulnerabilities and font problems.

The new Firefox 89 just recently appeared in a new look. Now a first update has been released. Firefox 89.0.1 is an important security update for Windows, macOS and Linux. This update will be available automatically to Firefox users within the next few days via the update functionality.

Firefox 89.0.1 additionally fixes various font problems, corrects minor problems and fixes an annoying problem under macOS that the screen flickers as soon as you use Firefox on an external monitor and scroll through websites.

For those who have not yet switched to the new version 89: Firefox 89 update fixed several vulnerabilities. Under the name Proton, Mozilla also worked on a new look for the most important components of Firefox, for example, redesigned the main menu, tabs and toolbar. Firefox now looks more modern thanks to the update.
