Firefox 136.0.2 maintenance update available

Support for the CookieStore API has been disabled due to compatibility issues.

Mozilla has released another maintenance update for Firefox 136, version 136.0.2 today. Firefox 128.8 ESR and 115.21 ESR will remain at their current versions.

In this version, support for the CookieStore API has been disabled due to compatibility issues. The API will be enabled later once the compatibility issues are resolved. Other fixes have been made. Read more here.

  • Fixed a bug where Cookies and Site Data and Temporary Cached Files and Pages were unexpectedly enabled after updating to Firefox 136 for users who had History and/or Site Settings set to Delete on Shutdown in previous versions. Affected users already using Firefox 136 can disable these settings in Privacy & Security.
  • Fixed an issue where the primary password prompt appeared in unexpected situations.
  • Fixed visibility issues with radio buttons on dark backgrounds.
  • Fixed high CPU usage in Windows when the screen was locked or the laptop lid was closed.
