Adobe Photoshop 2022 23.4.1 and others available

The updates fix security gaps in Adobe Acrobat and Reader, Photoshop, RoboHelp and Character Animator.

With the July patch day, Adobe fixes security gaps in Adobe Acrobat and Reader, Photoshop, RoboHelp and Character Animator with the available updates. Some of the vulnerabilities are critical. Adobe users should install these quickly to avoid becoming victims of malware attacks.

For Photoshop, the updated versions fix one vulnerability classified as critical and one as important. The Photoshop 2021 22.5.8 and Photoshop 2022 23.4.1 versions for Mac and Windows have been updated. Adobe does not give further details in the according security notification.

Acrobat and Reader updates fix 15 vulnerabilities marked as critical. Adobe warns that attackers could execute injected code. The manufacturer classifies seven other vulnerabilities as important.

The updates fix vulnerabilities in Acrobat DC 22.001.20169, Acrobat Reader DC 22.001.20169, Acrobat 2020 20.005.30362, Acrobat Reader 2020 20.005.30362, Acrobat 2017 17.012.30249 and Acrobat Reader 2017 17.012.30249 for Mac and Windows respectively.

Two critical vulnerabilities can be found in older versions of Character Animator 2021 and 2022. Adobe's security advisory lists Character Animator 2022 20.5 as the updated software version. A cross-site scripting vulnerability in RoboHelp that allows attackers to inject and execute code makes collation important at a CVSS score of 6.5.
