Adobe April 2023 Patch Day

Available software updates fix critical vulnerabilities in Adobe applications.

If you use Adobe applications, you should update them for security reasons with the updates newly available. The software manufacturer Adobe published important security updates for its applications Digital Editions, Dimension, InCopy, Reader, Substance 3D Designer and Substance 3D Stager. Several vulnerabilities are classified as critical and malicious code could reach systems.

In Acrobat and Reader, the developers have closed 16 vulnerabilities in macOS and Windows versions 20.005.30467 and 23.001.20143.

Digital Editions is vulnerable to a malicious code vulnerability (CVE-2023-32582 *high+). Windows version 4.5.11.187658 can help here.

Malicious code could also slip through a gap (CVE-2023-22235 high) in InCopy. Versions 17.4.1 and 18.2 under macOS and Windows are protected against such attacks.

Substance 3D Designer and Substance 3D Stager are secured in releases 12.4.1 and 2.0.2 for macOS and Windows. After attacks on Dimension, information could leak. Version 3.4.9 for macOS and Windows is already available for download.

Administrators should promptly download and install the updates for the other vulnerable programs. On the March Patch Day, Adobe had 106 security gaps to close.
