Wireshark just dropped a fresh update , and if you have it installed, this is one update you do not want to skip. Think of Wireshark as a wallhack for network traffic, letting you see every packet moving through the map in real time.
The new version 4.6.3 rolls out with four security vulnerabilities patched, tightening up defenses and keeping your system safe from nasty exploits. This update bundles improvements into one solid upgrade that smooths out bugs and prevents crashes.
The Solaris build that previously failed to launch is now fixed and playable again. The RTP player no longer gets stuck in an endless stream you cannot stop. Several ABI and API compatibility issues have been cleaned up to prevent weird mod-breaking behavior. Missing packet info in HomePlug messages has been restored so your HUD finally shows the right stats.
The MaxMind database crash that could trigger when switching profiles has been eliminated. Compilation issues caused by _FORTIFY_SOURCE settings have been resolved so builds no longer fail mid-match. Wi-Fi packet analysis has been corrected, fixing broken QoS and Mesh Control Field readings when A-MSDU frames are in play.
On the security side, a nasty heap buffer overflow discovered by OSS-Fuzz has been patched, closing a serious exploit vector. Decoding errors in 5G NAS messages, especially with extended CAG information lists, have also been fixed so advanced traffic analysis works as intended.
