Windows Update Viewer, the lightweight freeware tool for tracking your installed Windows updates, has been updated to version 0.8.0. Notably, this will be the final release offered as a separate 32-bit (x86) build, so grab it now if that's the version you rely on.
What's New
- Last x86 release: Developer Tim has confirmed that 0.8.0 is the final version distributed as a standalone x86 build. The installer and portable x64 version will continue as before.
- New theme option - Pale Grafite: A new visual theme has been added alongside the existing light and dark modes. It's bright, but a bit softer than the standard light theme.
- Improved theme handling: You can now select a different display mode even when the app's theme setting is left on "System," giving more control over the app's look regardless of your OS-level theme.
WUView remains a simple, no-frills way to review your Windows update history and cross-reference entries with the Event Viewer, all in one uncluttered list, without Microsoft's confusing update categories.
