An update to version 3.0.23 has been released for VLC Media Player. Find the changes in the release notes below. This update is more of a maintenance update.

• Improved the dark color palette in the Qt interface

• Resolved compilation issues with OpenGL modules

• Fixed a null dereference in libass

• Resolved undefined bit shifts in Theora and CC-708

• Fixed an integer overflow in Daala

• Corrected an infinite loop in H.264 parsing

• Addressed buffer overflows in PNG handling and multiple format-related overflows

• Prepared compatibility with TagLib 2.0, Qt 6, FFmpeg 8, mingw-w64 v13, and newer versions of libplacebo and pupnp
