New Thunderbird versions 149.0.2 and 140.9.1 ESR from Mozilla are available for download. The updates are already being distributed via the update function.
In Thunderbird 149.0.2, five security vulnerabilities, all rated High, were patched. Version 140.9.1 ESR has three vulnerabilities, also rated High, patched. According to the release notes, no other changes were made.
Stable installers and localized versions can be obtained from Mozilla’s official Thunderbird website, as well as from release archive servers for access to both current and previous versions.
Thunderbird provides automatic updates to maintain security and performance, while manual installers are also available for offline use or managed deployment scenarios.
