In addition to the new Firefox version, Mozilla has also released the monthly update for its email client, Thunderbird. This includes version 151.0, featuring both security fixes and new features, as well as the [ESR version 140.11.0, which contains security fixes.
With the new version Thunderbird got a handy little tune-up: easier sign-ins, better task sorting, fewer crashes, and a bunch of smoother mail and calendar fixes.

Thunderbird now makes account setup easier with Thundermail OAuth sign-in and auto-configuration. Users can also customize OAuth provider details for EWS accounts when needed.

Tasks got a small productivity boost too: you can now sort them by created date or modified date.

Thunderbird once again checks whether it is the default app when it starts.

When sending signed-only OpenPGP messages, your public key is no longer attached automatically by default.

A lot of bugs were squashed. Thunderbird is now more stable, with fixes for crashes during startup, spam filtering, incoming message processing, and message header handling.

Search is better too: result counts are back, and newer exact matches should no longer get buried under older, less relevant emails.

Mail handling got cleaner, including fixes for IMAP dates, forwarded messages, attachments, HTML replies, newsgroup posting, and command-line compose issues.

Account setup is smoother as well, especially for Outlook/OAuth flows and Account Hub editing.

Calendar and tasks also got attention, with improved keyboard accessibility, better all-day task creation, cleaner task views, and more useful task menus.
