Telegram 6.6 available
After adding the option to block sharing in groups, this can now also be blocked in private chats.
Telegram rolled out version 6.6.0 yesterday and while the number might not scream big update, the feature list definitely does. This release quietly delivers a whole bundle of clever upgrades.
After introducing the ability to block message forwarding in groups, Telegram now lets you disable sharing in private chats as well. More control, more privacy.
Group chats are getting smarter, too. You can now add tags next to names. This is perfect for university groups where you might want to show your major, or for teams, events, or communities where roles matter. Expect some creative uses for this one.

You can now add captions to GIFs before sending them, because sometimes a reaction needs commentary.

Found a great image? Save it directly as a sticker via the context menu.

GIFs and stickers are now editable. Add text, tweak the animation length, and customize them right inside Telegram.

In polls with visible votes, you can now see exactly when each vote was cast thanks to timestamps.

The date and time display in messages has been improved. It automatically adjusts to each recipient's local time zone. No more mental math to figure out when something actually happened.
And here is a particularly exciting addition: you can now log in to apps and websites using your Telegram account, similar to "Sign in with Google". You can even choose to share your phone number to skip extra verification steps and allow services to send you notifications directly via Telegram for seamless updates.
