R-Wipe & Clean 20.0 Build 2577

The update focuses on keeping pace with the apps people actually use every day, adding fresh detection rules so the cleaner can find and safely erase traces left behind by newer software.

R-Wipe & Clean, the long-running privacy and disk-cleaning utility from R-Tools Technology, has pushed out build 2577 in its 20.0 branch. The update focuses on keeping pace with the apps people actually use every day, adding fresh detection rules so the cleaner can find and safely erase traces left behind by newer software.

What's New

  • New Google Chrome item: An "External App Redirect Info" entry has been added to the Chrome cleaning section, letting the tool clear traces of links that hand off to other installed apps.
  • Expanded Program Traces coverage: Support has been added for Houdini (3D animation software), plus new cleanable items across several apps — Indexed Databases for TradingView, Temporary Files for Zenkit, Media Engagement Statistics for CyberLink Application Manager, Crash Reports for Audiate, and Rollback Journals for GoLand.
  • Improved app detection: Detection has been sharpened for WeChat and HP Smart, so the cleaner more reliably finds these apps' leftover data.
  • Microsoft Store compatibility: The Perplexity cleaning tab has been adapted to also work with the Perplexity app installed via the Microsoft Store.

Why It Matters

None of these changes are flashy, but they're exactly the kind of incremental housekeeping that keeps a privacy tool useful over time — as apps update and move to new platforms (like the Microsoft Store), a cleaner needs to keep learning where they hide their temporary files, caches, and logs.
