This is a maintenance update with changes and also fixes a potential crash.

Paint.NET 5.1.11 is available download. This update is a maintenance update that includes several fixes.

A crash (BadNumberException) that occurred when selected pixels were moved outside the canvas, the selection was changed, and then the selected pixels were moved back onto the canvas has been fixed. A rare crash when waking the system from sleep mode has also been fixed.

More changes in 5.1.11

  • The "Coverage" property under "Effects->Noise->Add Noise" has been changed from an integer to a float value.

  • A minor GCHandle leak has been fixed.

  • HlslTernaryFunctionEffect has been fixed when using 3-value parameters.

  • IDxgiAdapterService2 has been added for use with plugins.

  • Updates: AvifFileType plugin (3.13.1), JPEG XL FileType plugin (1.2.0), and WebP FileType plugin (1.6.0)

  • New: Romanian (RO) translation has been added.
