NovaBench 6.2.0 Adds Local AI Benchmarking and a New System Inspector
The release leans further into two areas: benchmarking AI workloads on local hardware, and giving users a deeper look at their system's health beyond just a benchmark score.
NovaBench, the lightweight Windows benchmarking tool that scores CPU, GPU, memory, and storage performance in a couple of minutes, has been updated to version 6.2.0. The release leans further into two areas: benchmarking AI workloads on local hardware, and giving users a deeper look at their system's health beyond just a benchmark score.
What's New
- AI Tests — A new test suite measures local large-language-model performance across CPU, GPU, and NPU, letting users see how their hardware actually handles on-device AI workloads rather than relying on synthetic scores alone.
- Inspect System — A new area of the app surfaces hardware inventory, sensor history, battery health, and test-result trends over time, turning NovaBench into more of an ongoing system-health dashboard than a one-off benchmark.
- HTTPS connection test and network filter detection — Adds a dedicated HTTPS test and the ability to detect network filters, rounding out NovaBench's existing network diagnostics (speed test, traceroute, DNS benchmark).
- macOS 27 sensor fix — Corrects sensor readings that were off on macOS 27.
- Numerous minor fixes and stability improvements throughout the app.
