A new update to version 8.9.3 is available for Notepad++. The update includes a number of improvements and fixes. Additionally, cURL has been updated to version v8.19.0 in the auto-updater (WinGUp) to address a cURL security vulnerability.
To improve the performance of reading and writing Notepad++ configuration files, a new XML parser (pugixml) has been gradually introduced over several versions and is now fully implemented in this release. Additionally, several regressions identified in earlier versions caused by the XML parser migration have been resolved.
