Microsoft has released PowerToys 0.100.1, a quick maintenance update that addresses crashes and behavioral problems reported by the community after the landmark 0.100.0 release earlier this month. The update is already rolling out through PowerToys' built-in update function.

Version 0.100.0 was a significant milestone. It migrated PowerToys to .NET 10 and introduced a redesigned Shortcut Guide. The community wasted no time finding issues, and Microsoft has turned around fixes in a matter of weeks.
What 0.100.1 Fixes
Quick Access A crash caused by unhandled XAML exceptions during startup or page navigation has been resolved.
Keyboard Shortcut Guide A crash that occurred when switching between sidebar sections is fixed. Number key display in shortcut manifests has also been corrected, and a Postman shortcut manifest has been added. All bundled manifests now use literal tokens for number keys, ensuring consistent display across apps.
Power Display Two bugs squashed: selecting "On" in the monitor power state control now correctly wakes a monitor from standby, and brightness control on laptops with two GPUs (where the discrete GPU drives the internal display) works properly again.
ZoomIt A race condition in audio initialization during video recordings has been resolved.
Command Palette Fixed an initialization issue with the run history in AOT builds.

PowerToys 0.100.1 is available via the built-in update prompt inside the app, from the Microsoft Store, or directly from the GitHub releases page. PowerToys is free and runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11.
