Microsoft released another update for the Edge browser. The version number is 142.0.3595.94, and it includes several new features. No security vulnerabilities have been fixed

This provides centralized, granular control over cloud-based and AI-powered services in Microsoft Edge, such as translation, composition, and automatic tab grouping. This new feature allows organizations to adapt Edge to their compliance and data protection standards by enabling or disabling specific connected features from a single location in the Edge Management Service portal.

New Edge Features

• Administrators can now configure policies for Edge for Business on macOS, iOS, and Android devices in the Edge Management Service, in addition to their existing Windows configurations.

• Watermark protection in Microsoft Edge helps organizations visibly reinforce their privacy policies by permanently watermarking sensitive content displayed in the browser. This feature is designed to prevent unauthorized disclosure, support compliance efforts, and raise user awareness of handling confidential information.

• Administrators shouldn't have to choose between disabling copy/paste and the risk of data leaks. Protected clipboard provides a smarter way to protect sensitive data without disrupting user workflows. Use Purview DLP policies to define trusted boundaries for managed cloud apps. Data within these administrator-defined boundaries remains protected, while external data can be entered when needed. Granular control for administrators. Seamless productivity for users.

• New enforcement measure to block access from unauthorized Microsoft 365 tenants directly in Microsoft Edge for Business, helping organizations maintain strict compliance and prevent data leaks across tenant boundaries.
