Google has shipped a new stable-channel update for Chrome, bumping the desktop browser to version 150.0.7871.124/150.0.7871.125. The release closes 15 security vulnerabilities, two of which are rated critical, Chrome's highest severity level. None of the flaws are currently flagged as exploited in the wild.
What's Fixed
The update addresses 15 vulnerabilities discovered by outside researchers and Google's internal security teams, including two critical-severity issues. As is standard practice, Google is withholding full technical details on the flaws until a majority of users have installed the update, to prevent attackers from reverse-engineering exploits from the patch notes.
Rollout
- Windows, macOS, Linux: Stable and Extended Stable channels updated to 150.0.7871.124/150.0.7871.125.
- Android: Chrome for Android updated to 150.0.7871.124, carrying the same fixes as the desktop Stable and Extended Stable builds.
- iOS/iPadOS: An update is expected to follow shortly.
Chrome updates automatically in the background; users can force a check via Menu → Help → About Google Chrome, then relaunch the browser to apply the update.
