General Highlights
- Fixed a major rendering bug where layers with filters (e.g., Drop Shadow) disappeared inside groups.
- Improved support and fixed issues for vector layers and SVG path imports.
- Enhanced reliability of several image import plug-ins (FITS, TIM, PAA, ICNS, PVR, SFW, JIF).
- PaintShop Pro plug-in now correctly loads actual selection shapes.
- PSD import improved: now supports all channels in Multichannel mode and better handling of layers/paths in TIFF/JPEG.
- Fixed color profile handling in the Tile filter.
- Enabled Send by Email for AppImages.
- Updated documentation and manual generation.
- Dropped 32-bit Windows builds, reducing installer size and improving performance.
UX/UI Updates
- Histogram now counts unique colors within selections only.
- Improved image rotation preview interaction when opening files.
- Added keyboard mnemonics for resource selection buttons (Alt + key).
- Improved behavior of the filter visibility toggle in non-destructive filters.
- Restored Tab shortcut label for hiding docks (context-sensitive).
This release mainly focuses on bug fixes, improved file compatibility, and small usability enhancements, rather than major new features.
