General Highlights

  • Fixed a major rendering bug where layers with filters (e.g., Drop Shadow) disappeared inside groups.
  • Improved support and fixed issues for vector layers and SVG path imports.
  • Enhanced reliability of several image import plug-ins (FITS, TIM, PAA, ICNS, PVR, SFW, JIF).
  • PaintShop Pro plug-in now correctly loads actual selection shapes.
  • PSD import improved: now supports all channels in Multichannel mode and better handling of layers/paths in TIFF/JPEG.
  • Fixed color profile handling in the Tile filter.
  • Enabled Send by Email for AppImages.
  • Updated documentation and manual generation.
  • Dropped 32-bit Windows builds, reducing installer size and improving performance.

UX/UI Updates

  • Histogram now counts unique colors within selections only.
  • Improved image rotation preview interaction when opening files.
  • Added keyboard mnemonics for resource selection buttons (Alt + key).
  • Improved behavior of the filter visibility toggle in non-destructive filters.
  • Restored Tab shortcut label for hiding docks (context-sensitive).

This release mainly focuses on bug fixes, improved file compatibility, and small usability enhancements, rather than major new features.
