What's new

- Compact Mode is back for people who prefer a denser layout.
- Video playback: Improved HDR video support and better audio/video sync when changing playback speed.
- WebRTC hardware AV1 decoding on compatible hardware, which lowers the load during video calls.
- Consistent styling: The add-ons manager and theme picker were redesigned to match Nova.
- Search: Amazon has been removed as a built-in search engine.
Firefox 157 also continues Mozilla's faster two-week release cycle introduced this month. Mozilla's official release notes page was still being prepared at the time of writing, so details are based on press coverage.
