Firefox 152.0.6 Weekly Maintenance Update Available
Mozilla's regular Tuesday release smooths out Smart Window, fixes a stuck tracking-protection toggle, and patches several security issues.
Mozilla has released Firefox 152.0.6, the browser's regular weekly maintenance build. As is now routine for Firefox's Tuesday releases, the update rolls out automatically through the browser's built-in updater over the course of the day.
What's New and Fixed
Smart Window improvements. Firefox's built-in AI assistant panel picks up several refinements in this release: selecting text on a page now lets users quickly request a summary, explanation, or other help via the assistant. A batch of new shortcuts has also been added to the New Tab page, making it faster to jump back to frequently visited sites.
Email tracking protection toggle fixed. A bug that prevented users from turning off email-tracking protection in the redesigned Firefox settings panel has been resolved.
macOS 26 crash fixed. A crash that could occur after using a file picker dialog on macOS 26 has been fixed.
Enterprise homepage bug fixed. Some enterprise deployments that set the homepage via a legacy autoconfig format were seeing it fail to load. This has been corrected.
Security fixes. The release also includes a number of security corrections. Full details will be published in Mozilla's security advisory once available.
