Mozilla has released a patched version of the Firefox browser. It is Firefox 148.0.2. Version 148.0.1 was released a few days ago for Android. Six issues have been fixed.
What has been fixed?

A bug was fixed where search queries entered into the Firefox home page search box were incorrectly redirected to the address bar for some users who had disabled search redirection behavior via advanced settings.

A bug was fixed where some web-based rich text editors stopped applying formatting, such as bold or italics.

A bug was fixed where videos on YouTube would unexpectedly autoplay despite autoplay being blocked, which was particularly problematic for screen reader users.

A bug was fixed that caused some absolutely positioned elements that should have been centered, for example, with margin: auto with inset: 0, to appear left-aligned on initial page load.

A bug was fixed where the Switch to Tab suggestion in the address bar would appear blank for pages without a title.

A problem that could affect video quality on Windows systems with NVIDIA GPUs and enabled video super-resolution has been fixed.
The update will be rolled out on March 10, 2026 via the browser's update function.
