Mozilla has released a maintenance update for Firefox 144, version 144.0.2. Some of these fixes specifically affect macOS this time, but a security fix is ​​also included. The update is available via the browser update function.

• Locale roll call trimmed: about:settings was listing more languages than actually on the guest list. Bouncer engaged; only downloaded & supported locales get in now. (Bug 1994642)

• macOS emoji vibes restored: the picker shortcut/menu went on strike after app-switching. We’ve negotiated peace—emoji rain is back. (Bug 1980815)

• Drag-and-drop drama ended (macOS): hauling images from Firefox into apps like Preview now behaves like a well-trained cat, not a gremlin. (Bug 1995345)

• Smoother macOS 26 (Tahoe): under heavy system load, performance and video playback hit turbulence. We’ve smoothed the ride. (Bug 1995638)

• Bookmark Bermuda Triangle (macOS 26) solved: folders looping into themselves could freeze the browser. We cut the loop-de-loops. (Bug 1995621)
