DAEMON Tools Ultra 7.1.0.1919 Released: Lighter Installer, Redesigned Driver
DAEMON Tools Ultra remains a go-to tool for mounting ISO, MDX, MDS, and other disc image formats as virtual drives.
DAEMON Tools has pushed out build 7.1.0.1919 of its Ultra disk-imaging suite, continuing the refinements the 7.1.0 branch introduced earlier this year.
What's new
Windows 10/11 (64-bit) only. As of the 7.1.0 line, DAEMON Tools Ultra has dropped support for older Windows versions and 32-bit systems, letting the team focus optimization work on modern setups.
Lighter installer. Internal structure optimizations have trimmed the size of the setup package, so getting the app onto a new machine is quicker.
Redesigned driver. The core virtual-drive driver has been reworked for better stability and overall app performance — fewer mount/unmount hiccups when working with disc images.
Refreshed interface elements. Several key screens in the app have a cleaner look.
Full shutdown option. A new toggle in General Settings lets you fully exit DAEMON Tools Ultra rather than leaving it resident in the background — useful if you've run into conflicts with certain games or apps that don't play well with background processes.
DAEMON Tools Ultra remains a go-to tool for mounting ISO, MDX, MDS, and other disc image formats as virtual drives, plus creating and converting images from physical media.
