Updates for Chromium-based browsers now available

Last week Google released a security update for Chrome for the second time a week. The manufacturers of Chromium-based browsers did not have much time to keep up with their product versions. With the latest Chrome update to version 88.0.4324.150, Google has eliminated a vulnerability that is already being used for attacks.

Now some manufacturers of Chromium-based browsers have released updates themselves. With version 1.19.92, Brave now is on the same level as Chromium version 88.0.4324.152 and is thus slightly ahead. Vivaldi 3.6.2165.36 relies on Chromium 88.0.4324.151 and is now also secured against all known vulnerabilities. This also applies to the Edge 88.0.705.63 browser, which is based on Chromium 88.0.4324.150. All three manufacturers updated their browsers now.

Opera updated the browser on February 9. The latest version 74.0.3911.107 is based on Chromium 88.0.4324.150. The update renews the display order in Search Tabs. When opening Search Tabs, recently-closed tabs are shown at the top of the list, followed by open tabs. Once you start searching, this will be reversed. Open tabs at the top of the list, and recently-closed tabs at the bottom.

All browsers have an integrated update function, which you can also initiate manually via the Help About... menu.
