NeeView 46.1 Released

This Small Update Fixes Several Annoyances in the Free Windows Image Viewer

NeeView, the free and open-source book-style image viewer for Windows, has been updated to version 46.1. It's a maintenance release, but it clears up a handful of issues that had been bothering users since 46.0.

What's new in 46.1

  • Fixed a bug where the language setting wasn't being saved between sessions
  • Fixed effect parameters not carrying over when updating from a previous version
  • Fixed an issue where the Shift-key shortcut for book navigation would accidentally select multiple items
  • Fixed a bug preventing effect color properties from being set via script

NeeView 46.1 continues to run on .NET 10, matching the platform the app moved to earlier in the 46.x series.

Why it matters

NeeView remains one of the better free options for browsing manga, comics, and photo collections on Windows, with a distinctive "book" reading layout, support for JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF, and multi-page formats like PDFs and archives. If you already use it, this update is a straightforward, low-risk upgrade — no new features, just cleanup.
